DLA Troop Support is conducting market research seeking to identify possible sources that can supply NSN 4210-00-203-0217, Fire Extinguisher (carbon dioxide). Interested contractors are requested to review the below description carefully to identify any potential manufacturing challenges and formulate any questions. The intent of this sources sought notice is to gather information that will identify sources for the possibility of a solicitation for the referenced item under a long-term, requirements contract. NSN 4210-00-203-0217 is manufactured for the following mil-spec: IAW BASIC SPEC NR MIL-E-24269B(1) REVISION NR 1 DTD 10/08/1990 PART PIECE NUMBER: MIL-E-24268B(1) CL1,TY1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: CARBON DIOXIDE I/A/W MIL SPEC TITLED "EXTINGUISHER, FIRE, CARBON DIOXIDE 15 POUND, PORTABLE, PERMANENT SHUTOFF, NAVY SHIPBOARD USE". CLASS 1 (STEEL) NON-SHATTERABLE EXCEPTION DATA: NO MOUNTING BRACKET REQD; PARA. 3.5.4 - THICKNESS SHOULD READ 0.030 INCHES MINIMUM.
