Long-Term Storage and Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Services for Government-Owned Microelectronics

Notice ID:SPE7MX27R9999

DLA Weapons Support is conducting market research for potential sources to provide vendor-managed inventory (VMI) logistics and warehousing services—storage, management, packaging, and distribution—for Government-owned, serialized microcircuits, with no manufacturing, specialized electrical testing, or original TDPs involved. The contractor would perform secure long-term storage in a contractor-owned facility, maintain serialized/UII inventory accounting, PIEE/GFP/IUID data, EDI ANSI X.12/DLMS transaction feeds, inventory plans, monthly reconciliation, audit support, and disposal of unusable inventory per CNSSI 3006, with storage per GEIA-STD-0003A and packaging/transport per MIL-STD-2073/1 and MIL-STD-129. DLA contemplates firm-fixed-price contracts with a one-year base period and up to eight one-year option periods; the base-period start date is TBD and the price structure is subject to change. Interested parties are asked to submit a brief capability statement (max 5–10 pages) covering business size under NAICS 493190, technical/storage experience, EDI/WMS integration, Government property controls, security/CUI handling, pricing structure, DCAA-approved accounting system, and FPRA/FPRR status. This source-sought notice is for planning/market research only, is not a request for quote or proposal, and does not commit the Government or reimburse response costs.
