Quantity price breaks are requested from 25-75 each. Solicitation will not contain a quantity option. This item is solicited under Other Than Full and Open Competition, FAR 6.302(c)(1). Approved source is: Akon Incorporated (5V234) P/N A15-0H258. The Government required delivery is 270 days, and the item will be shipped to the government stock location. Inspection/Acceptance Destination, FOB Origin (FDT applies). Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and socioeconomic factors. This solicitation is an RFP (Request For Proposal) and will be available on or around 8/14/2023 at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil. DLA Land and Maritime is issuing this Source Sought Synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the following requirement: ITEM: Amplifier, Video NSN: 5996-01-706-3724 Approved Source(s): Akon Incorporated (5V234) P/N A15-0H258 Once the solicitation is issued, sources who are interested in becoming an approved source must submit the appropriate information outlined in Procurement Notes L04 and M06, Conditions for Evaluation of Acceptance of Offers for Part Numbered Items. DLA Land and Maritime does not possess the technical data for this item and any alternate offeror must provide a complete data package including data for the approved and alternated part for evaluation. A Firm Fixed contract is anticipated for a quantity of 32 each with price breaks from 30-70 each. Delivery will be to a DLA stock location. The Purpose of this synopsis is to locate sources interested in becoming approved sources and for any additional approved sources.
