This is NOT a request for quote/proposal. DLA Land and Maritime is considering a solicitation and subsequent award of an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC)*. *Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC): These contracts are intended for use with item(s)/NSN(s) for which recurring demands are anticipated, and as a means of reducing the time and expense required to solicit and make repetitive individual awards. Establishment of an IQC (called a “Basic Contract”) will permit future Purchase Requests (PR) to be awarded by issuing a delivery order against the basic contract. All terms, conditions, and pricing are negotiated/awarded up front with the basic, allowing the delivery order to be issued quickly. Most contract terms will be for a one (1) year base period with the possibility of four (4) option years. The item(s)/NSN(s) on the contract will be ordered on each delivery order (DO) on an as needed basis. The delivery order quantities are estimated based on previous and forecasted demands, and the contractor will be guaranteed a minimum order value as specified in the contract. NO SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AT THIS TIME. DLA Land and Maritime is issuing this Source Sought Synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the following requirement: ITEM: Connector, Plug, Elect NSN: 5935-01-659-5575 is to be procured in accordance with approved source(s): Approved Source(s): Glenair (06324) P/N 8070-1676-06ZNU6-6PY TE Connectivity (00779) P/N 2226910-1 An Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) is anticipated for a Base Year + Four (4) Option Years. Estimated Annual Demand Qty: 39,345 Estimated Quantity for each year: 1,967 – 39,345 Item will be shipped to a DLA stocking locations. The Purpose of this synopsis is to locate sources interested in becoming approved sources and for any additional approved sources. DLA Land and Maritime does not have any/adequate technical data with which to procure these items and any alternate offeror must provide a complete data package including data for the approved and alternated part for evaluation. Once the solicitation is issued, sources who are interested in becoming an approved source will be required to submit appropriate data per the requirements outlined in Procurement Note L04 (Offers for Part Number Items) and M06 (Evaluation of Offers for Part Numbered Items). Interested parties should send a letter of interest to the contracting officer, Amy Plymale-Hillis via email at amy.plymale-hillis@dla.mil by February 5, 2021. The response should include CAGE code; product line; quality certifications; company size; customer base and appropriate POC information. The company will then be place on the bidders list so that notification can be sent when the solicitation is available. This RFI is for market research purposes only. Any information submitted is at the company's own expense. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of capability statements in connection with the market survey. Any information provided is voluntary.
