INSPECTION: Destination AMS /AMSC = 3/D - PROCUREMENT FROM APPROVED SOURCES. Acquisition must be from the sources(s); or from dealer/distributor offering exact product (CAGE and part number) and who has furnished acceptable traceability documentation prior to award. Part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. The procurement agency does not have adequate data available for the evaluation of alternate offers. Not approved sources for this NSN are required to submit a full source approval request (SAR) to DSCC by the closing date of this solicitation. The data package must be submitted to the source approval authority and they will determine if the source is acceptable. $200 local evaluation cost and $1500 ESA evaluation cost added to alternate offers before submission of data package will be considered. (Reference 52.217-9002). Due to criticality and time required for ESA evaluation of alternate offers, it may not be possible to consider alternate offers for current award, but those meeting evaluation criteria will be considered for future procurements if approved by ESA after SAR evaluation. The Contracting Officer may utilize on-line Reverse Auctioning as a means of conducting price discussions under this solicitation. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer.
