Item is coded as a Critical Application Item (CAI), and requires source approval from NAVAIR, Lakehurst. Solicitation is unrestricted. Contract type will be firm-fixed priced for a base quantity of 11 EA with quantity ranges up to 16 EA. The item is for a DLA Stock Location. Requested delivery is approximately 800 days with First Article Testing. Solicitation will require FOB Origin with Inspection at Origin and Acceptance at Origin. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This acquisition is for supplies coded as a Critical Application (CAI) Item for the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment. NAVAIR PART NUMBER 517142-1R. It is to be manufactured by approved sources only. Parties interested in becoming an approved source for this item are encouraged to complete a Source Approval Request. The item is made in accordance to Navy drawings and requires Enhanced JCP certification as well as compliance with NIST 800-171.
