(07482) p/n 9278M37P01 and ... DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for the NSN 4320-01-171-7269, Seal Assembly, Shaft. Manufactured by General Electric Co. (07482) p/n 9278M37P01 and Eaton Corporation (77842) p/n 68370. Solicitation will be issued using FAR subpart 13 Simplified Procedures. However, DLA is also requesting a definite quantity to be quoted to specified location(s). DLA may make an award by purchase order (PO) for the definite quantity and may not award the IDC portion of the solicitation. Alternatively, DLA may award the definite quantity as a PO at a different time from award of the IDC portion. The definite quantity may be awarded as the first delivery order against the IDC. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete and unrestrictive technical data, therefore the Government intends to solicit and contract with only the approved source(s) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Alternate offerors will be required to provide a complete data package including data for the approved and alternate part for evaluation. The solicitation is anticipated to require FOB Origin and Inspection and Acceptance at Origin. This SOURCES SOUGHT notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified businesses that are capable of executing this potential contract.. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The solicitation/request for proposal will be forth coming. When issued, the Solicitation/Request for Proposal will be listed on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) website at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp/. Interested sources should complete the attached market survey and return the completed copy to the Contract Specialist via email. An Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) with a base period of one (1) year and two (2) option years is anticipated. Option years exercised at the discretion of the Government. Multiple delivery orders may be written against the basic contract for a maximum of five years. Various incremental quantities will be solicited. Deliveries may be to various DLA stocking locations. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
