Solicitation SPE7MX24RX001 will be used to establish an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) approximately five years in length for one, three-year base period and two, one-year option periods. The Contracting Officer (KO) has determined this item will be solicited unrestricted with other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.301. This NSN has an AMC/AMSC of 3/Z and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 332994 Small Arms, Ordnance, and Ordnance Accessories Manufacturing (small business size 1000). This solicitation is being issued under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.301 and contemplates the award of a contract for items of supply that are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources. The item on this solicitation is coded as AMSC “Z”, which means this must be acquired directly from the manufacturer, whether or not the prime contractor is the actual manufacturer, and this part is commercial/nondevelopmental/off-the-shelf item.
