Solicitation SPE7LX24RX015 will be used to establish an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) approximately three years in length for one, two-year base period and one, one-year option period. The Contracting Officer (KO) has determined this item will be solicited unrestricted with other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.301. This NSN has an AMC/AMSC of 3/D and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 335910 Battery Manufacturing (small business size 1250). This solicitation is being issued under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.301 and contemplates the award of a contract for items of supply that are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources. The item on this solicitation is coded as AMSC “D”, which means this the data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation.
