Solicitation SPE7LX21RX020 will be used to establish an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) with one three-year (3-year) base period. There will be no option years. This project will allow for continued support to the Global Tire Program (GTP) pursuant to FAR Part 51. The scope of this solicitation and resulting contract(s) is GTP Contractor and Government supply support for code and part numbered tires. The Contracting Officer has determined this item will be solicited as unrestricted with other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Project CL20323009 is for one NSN with a description of Tire, Pneumatic, Vehicular,. This NSN has a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 326211 (Tire Manufacturing, except Retreading) and an AMC/AMSC of 3/D, which means they are acquire, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer and the data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation.
