The scope of this acquisition includes all Department of Defense (DoD) managed items for which L-3 Technologies, Inc. (02978) is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and/or its authorized dealer EOS, Inc. (85VY7) is the only available source. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement does contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration shall not exceed 5 years (one three-year base period and two one-year option periods). This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within Federal Supply Classes 2590, 2815, 2990, 3040 and 4730. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). . While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other factors as described in the solicitation.
