DLA Energy’s Coal Division is procuring a total of 390,000Net Tons (NTS) of sub-bituminous coal for two installations in Alaska. DLA Energy’s Coal Division is procuring a total of 390,000Net Tons (NTS) of sub-bituminous coal for two installations in Alaska. Fort Wainwright, 190,000 NTS and Eielson Air Force Base (AFB), 200,000 NTS. All line items will be solicited as full and open competition. Free on Board (FOB) destination offers (inclusive of transportation costs) with deliveries by railcar as indicated in the solicitation are required. The delivery period for all line items is October 1, 2020 through October 31, 2021. The ordering period is October 1, 2020 and ends September 30, 2021. The planned solicitation will also have two option years for each of the two installations. This will be an additional 190,000 Net Tons (NTS) of sub-bituminous coal, Fort Wainwright and 200,000 NTS for Eielson Air Force Base (AFB) per year. The ordering period for the option year 1 is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022; the ordering period for option 2 year is October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023.
