DLA Troop Support is seeking to identify possible sources that can manufacture NSN: 5340-01-591-3803, Timken Gears part number 3052G40-1 or 3052G40G-1. DLA Troop Support is in the process of developing a solicitation for the referenced item. The quantity will be 127 kits. Drawings are not available. If you are interested in becoming a qualified source of supply for this item, you are required to submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package. The completed package would have to be submitted to the buyer on a CD-Rom only, no paper copies. Any forthcoming solicitation for this item will not be held up while your SAR package is being evaluated by the Engineering Support Activity (ESA). This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research only and the Government is in no way obligated to purchase any material as a result of this inquiry. The Government will not pay for any information submitted by respondents in response to this Sources Sought Notice. Drawings are not available. Contractors who are not quoting the approved manufacturing source are considered to be Alternate Offers and may submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package to be considered for future awards contingent upon the review/approval/acceptance of the SAR package. The quantity is 127 kits. This is an unrestricted procurement. The RFQ will be issued as an other than full and open competition. The applicable statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. This is a commercial item. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. FOB Origin, Destination Inspection applies. Price and Past Performance will be evaluation factors. The requested delivery is 90 days. The estimated solicitation issue date is 9/8/20. The solicitation will become available on DIBBS after the issue date.
