Solicitation: SPE4AX-21-R-UN01 This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Solicitation number SPE4AX-21-R-UN01 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS) and Defense Logistics Acquisition Directive (DLAD). The associated NAICS code is 336412. The government intends to add this part to the current Unison Industries Spare Engines Requirements Contract, SPE4A5-20-D-0025. All terms and conditions of that contract are in full force and effect. Below is the NSN that will be added. Unison Industries is currently the only qualified source who can manufacture these parts. The Government does not have rights to these parts, manufacturing, production or process data. This information is proprietary to Unison Industries. NSN: 2925-01-615-8562, Vibrator Ignition C The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research and to gauge potential interest in this anticipated acquisition. The Government seeks information that will be used as part of an analysis to determine if responsible sources exist, other than Unison Industries, to designate this effort as a competitive acquisition. Currently the approved sole source is Unison Industries CAGE 59501. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation is seeking a holistic, performance based support solution to improve the availability of Unison manufactured aerospace products via the Captains of Industry (COI)/Supplier Capability Contract (SCC) initiative. A performance based supply chain management and logistics support solution is being sought for products manufactured by Unison. This could include repairable and consumable material end items and support to weapons system maintenance to include both material and services, including potential repair or remanufacturing of repairables for Unison manufactured items only. The logistics solution being sought is a comprehensive and complete supply chain management program to support Unison manufactured aircraft products. Unison aircraft components pose significant engineering, technical, diminishing manufacturing sources and raw material acquisition challenges. DLA has determined that real-time access to the engineering expertise, technical data and understanding of the manufacturing processes offered by the OEM is essential to successfully provide supply support for the maintenance of these products THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFOMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
