The objective of this acquisition is to provide whole engine repair for F100-220 and F100-229 engines. The NSNs, which are sole source to Pratt & Whitney, tied to these engines are: 2840-01-475-2543 2840-01-475-2569 2840-01-475-2570 The F100-220/229 are modular, afterburning, turbofan engines produced by Pratt & Whitney. They were procured to power the F-15 Eagle/Strike Eagle and the F-16 Fighting Falcon. These engines are currently repaired using a three level maintenance concept. Full overhaul at the module level is accomplished via organic depot at Tinker AFB. This program is to establish contract repair of whole engine F100-220/-229 variants. This effort will ensure surge capability for engine overhaul at the whole engine level due to higher than normal removal rates and limitations in organic production capability.
