This is notice of the Government’s intent to issue a sole-source firm-fixed price solicitation. The proposed action is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to: Machine Tool Research, Inc, CAGE 1JV12 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation is intended to be “unrestricted” in business size, other than full and open competition/after exclusion of sources. This is proposed to be a FAR 12 effort. Description of requirements: One (1) Complete rebuild of 3 steady rests to OEM specifications in accordance with Technical Specification VIDA 24-65-1063. Performance period/completion 200 days after receipt of order. FOB Destination, Inspection at Destination and Acceptance at Destination. Destination is Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. The complete technical data package for VIDA 24-65-1063 including shipping, and labor requirements will be included as a part of the solicitation. THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. RFQ SPE4A8-24-Q-0025 is anticipated to be issue on or around 13 June 2024.
