UPDATE: The Government has issued this requirement on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) as solicitation SPE4A8-23-Q-0019 for seven (7) Fanuc Alpha C600iB-16 Wire Electrical Discharge Machines (WEDMs). The Government proposes to issue a firm fixed price contract for seven (7) Fanuc Alpha C600iB-16 Wire Electrical Discharge Machines (WEDMs) in accordance with Purchase Description VIBB 21-25-1005 and QAP 175a. Delivery shall be to the Regional Support Group Groton, CT (RSG) for one (1) WEDM, to Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY) for five (5) WEDM’s, and to Trident Refit Facility Kings Bay, GA for one (1) WEDM with the option for two (2) WEDM’s for Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY). THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. Solicitation number SPM4A8-23-Q-0019 will be issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This is notice of the Government’s intent to issue the contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), other than full and open competition applies and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 48 CFR 12.603. The award shall be based on lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) evaluation criteria. Performance period is 340 calendar days after receipt of order. A copy of the solicitation will be available on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/. Quotes must be submitted no later than the closing date and time as listed. All respondents shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) website (https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/), and have a valid DUNS number, Cage Code, and Tax Identification Number. All quotes received after the closing date listed may be considered “late” and may not be considered for award. The estimated release date of the solicitation will be on or about April 6th, 2023, and closing date of May 8th, 2023.
