This is a 1/G item ,LIGHT,EXTENSION Solicitation is 100% small business procurement which requires FOB Inspection/Acceptance Destination. This is a NOT critical application item. The required delivery schedule is 90 Days After Receipt Of Order (DARO). Quantity variance is plus/minus zero. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation-Richmond is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to determine if other companies are capable of manufacturing (or legitimately obtain) the item indicated. The Government is seeking parties having an interest in and the resources to support NSN 6230-012474784 LIGHT,EXTENSION. Technical Orders and Qualification Requirements are available. Potential sources shall be capable of furnishing all labor, materials, facilities and equipment required to accomplish the new manufacture of the item(s). Generally, this entails the procurement/manufacture of component parts, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, and shipping. Additionally, potential sources may be responsible for supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production requirements, long-lead time parts procurement, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage issues, and shipping serviceable assets. The estimated annual quantity is 550 each. The unit prices will be established at the time of a contract award. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336413. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME.
