This item is identified as a commercial off the shelf (COTS) item. Configuration Control and Higher Level Quality Management do not apply. This is not an Enhanced Export Control Item. The acquisition is unrestricted other than full & open competition. This is a sole source item coded 3Z. This agency does not possess the technical data package for this National Stock Number to evaluate alternate offers. Any manufacturer, other than the approved source, Heaton Composite Systems, Inc., CAGE 0ED96, interested in submitting a proposal for this item must submit a complete source approval request (SAR), package for evaluation for future procurements. The SAR package will not be considered for the current procurement. DLA Aviation is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for NSN 4920-01-462-4666, Part Number HCS9200B, COMPOSITE REPAIR SET,AIRCRAFT, for a quantity of 15 each. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336413. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Additionally, potential sources may be responsible for supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production requirements, long-lead time parts procurement, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage issues, and shipping serviceable assets. The unit prices will be established at the time of a contract award.
