The Guaranteed minimum account was established today therefore the J & A is being posted today and will remain open until 01 September 2020 to ensure all statutory requirements for posting have been met. This contract action was originally anticipated to be a FAR 15 action under Solicitation # SPE4A519R0469. The quote was received form the vendor and during discussions they indicated that the items were commercial in nature. DLA Aviation Engineering, was asked to provide a commercial item determination. They provided a detailed explanation of their findings and concluded the following: “This commercial of-a-type determination is for the 86 item candidates for IDPO with Hydraulics International. By nomenclature, all items appear to be parts for fluid power systems and are commercial of-a-type. Therefore FAR 13.5 was used to solicit and award these items, 25 of the 86 items are being added to the ordering agreement at this time. The remaining 61 items will be added later. A list of the 25 items being added in the contract action is attached to this notice.
