Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Procurement: DLA Aviation is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to determine if other companies are capable of manufacturing or legitimately obtaining the following national stock number (NSN) items, and to determine if a set-aside of-a-type is appropriate. 2915-00-036-6556 LEVER, FUEL CONTROL 2915-01-202-3169 SLEEVE, CONTROL 5315-01-498-5109 PIN, STRAIGHT, HEADLE 5315-01-498-5111 PIN, GROOVED, HEADLESS 2915-01-626-9993 ARM, GOVERNOR, FUEL P 4810-01-660-1464 RING, VALVE PISTON Items are sole source to Woodward, Inc. (66503) with AAR Supply Chain, Inc. (1Y249) as the sole exclusive distributor and only known source of supply. DLA Aviation intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, and award these items on a sole source, long-term contract to AAR Supply Chain, Inc. (1Y249) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Interested and responsible sources who consider themselves qualified to manufacture or legitimately obtain the items listed above are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by February 8, 2023, to . Responses must include the name and address of the company, CAGE code, business size, and point of contact information (i.e., name, title, phone, email). Responses should also include a capability statement demonstrating the company’s ability to meet this requirement and include documentation demonstrating adequate financial resources, satisfactory record of integrity and business ethics, experience, accounting and operational controls, technical skills, management resources and facilities, or the ability to obtain them. Feedback or evaluations will not be provided to respondents regarding their submission. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of DLA Aviation. If your company desires to be reviewed and qualified as an "Approved Source" for an item, review the Source Approval Handbook for guidance on completing a SAR package. A SAR package contains all the technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality, or better, than the required item. The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item. SARs may not be processed if it is determined that the SAR is not cost effective due to low item demand. If there is an open solicitation for an item in which you want to submit a SAR, submit it directly to the buyer noted on the solicitation. If you are submitting a SAR for an item with no open solicitation, send an email to , subject “request a SAR drop off” to include the company’s CAGE code, NSN, and email address for where you want to receive the “request for drop off” link to upload your file. The review process can take over 180 days from the date the SAR is received by DLA Aviation. Once a decision is made, you will receive a formal notification letter advising you of the results.
