E-mail offers are acceptable, and the only form of transmission, for submission of initial proposals except for the initial Product Demonstration Models. DLA Troop Support continually evaluates the current industrial base, acquisition approaches, supply chain management alternatives and industry interest in this program. The Meal, Cold Weather is intended for cold weather feeding as it will not freeze and supplies extra drink mixes for countering dehydration during cold weather activities. It can be issued at three per day for a complete cold weather ration. The entrée included in the MCW is a freeze-dried, vacuum-packed ration.
