This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the DLA Troop Support (the “Agency”), Indo-Pacific Procurement Office-Hawaii. The Agency seeks comments and feedback concerning its full line of semi-perishable and fresh perishable fruits and vegetables provided to non-DoD school customers on the islands of Molokai and Lanai. No solicitation is available at this time, and requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The Government will neither reimburse costs incurred in responding to this RFI nor compensate respondents for any expenses related to the information provided. This RFI does not represent a commitment by the Government, and all responses will be used solely for informational purposes. Any proprietary information submitted will remain confidential if properly marked. Responding to this RFI does not guarantee future business opportunities with the Government. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring SAM.gov for updates or additional information related to this RFI. Participation in this RFI is not mandatory and will not exclude potential offerors from future solicitations. The primary purpose of this RFI is to gather market research to aid the Agency in preparing a future solicitation. Background Information: The Agency plans to issue a solicitation to establish a Simplified Indefinite-Delivery Contract (SIDC) with one or more commercial firms. The objective is to supply a full line of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Grade No. 1 or higher quality fresh fruits and vegetables to non-DoD school customers on the islands of Molokai and Lanai. The provided Statement of Work (SOW) is a preliminary draft and is subject to change. Revisions may be made based on input from both the customer and the contracting team. These adjustments may alter the final requirements for any future solicitation. Specific quality requirements for each item are detailed in the Schedule of Items (Attachment 1). Offerors responding to any future solicitation must meet the specified quality requirements for each item as outlined in Attachment 1. Failure to do so may render a proposal technically unacceptable. For items without a designated quality grade in Attachment 1, the minimum acceptable quality is USDA Grade No. 1 or better. The Agency intends to make a single award following the solicitation. Offerors are required to propose on all items listed in the solicitation's Schedule of Items. Proposals that do not address all items may be deemed technically unacceptable and excluded from further consideration. Because the Contracting Officer is not obligated to initiate negotiations, offerors must submit their Most Competitive Proposal in response to the solicitation. The proposal should fully address all solicitation requirements and be free of deficiencies.
