The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase one (1) saturated steam retort, which will replace the current two (2) retorts at the for the customer - United States Army Natick Soldier System Center ... The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase one (1) saturated steam retort, which will replace the current two (2) retorts at the for the customer - United States Army Natick Soldier System Center (NSSC) - in the customer’s facility in Natick, MA. The Contractor will be required to manufacture and deliver a new retort machine. In addition, the Contractor will be required to disconnect and remove the current retort system (consisting of two retort machines). The Contractor will be required to provide four (4) technicians for a one-week period to provide start-up assistance and training to NSSC personnel for the new retort. The Government will issue a single purchase order to the awardee for a responsible offeror whose proposal is conforming to this acquisition and will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
