(14) Contract Award Date: N/A (15) Contractor: N/A (16) Description: SYNOPSIS: THIS SYNOPSIS ONLY PROVIDES NOTICE OF A PENDING DLA REQUIREMENT, AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NO SOLICITATION REGARDING THIS ACQUISITION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE ON THE BASIS OF PROPOSALS RECEIVED IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), also referred to as the Government, intends to post an unrestricted, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) solicitation to SAM.gov for a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) acquisition for delivering a minimum of 2,771,112 pounds (lbs.) and up to a maximum of 3,463,890 lbs. of DR-GOES. The material is produced in very thin sheets and rolled into a coil not exceeding ~12,000 lbs at the supplier. Therefore, all DR-GOES delivered will be supplied by the contractor in coil form, fully tested per the contractor’s Sampling Plan, palletized, and packaged in a form conducive to long term storage in an enclose Government warehouse and to prevent any environmental or handling damage. Any resulting contract award will require the Contractor to deliver the material to Hammond, Indiana. DLA intends to solicit this acquisition on a ‘Full and Open competition. The period of performance/delivery will be 24 months from the time of award. The applicable PSC is 9640 and the applicable NAICS is 331110 (Iron and Steel Mills and Ferroalloy Manufacturing, small business size standard of 1,500 employees). This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. Only proposals submitted from offerors registered in System for Award Management (SAM) will be considered for award under any resulting solicitation. In order to be eligible to receive an award under any resulting solicitation, an offeror must have a Unique Entity ID which may be acquired through SAM registration. (17) Place of Contract Performance: Performance locations are restricted to the Continental United States (CONUS). The Contractor shall deliver the DR-GOES to the DLA Strategic Materials Depot, Hammond, Indiana. (18) Set-aside Status: Unrestricted, solicited as full and open competition. All DR-GOES procured under any resulting contract shall be sourced and processed exclusively in the United States, its outlying areas, or Canada.
