The new closing date is now Tuesday August 9th, 2022. DCSO-F2 Contracting intends to produce a strategic buffer of bearing grade steel for the DLA Warstopper Program Management Office. The objective of this requirement is to establish, manage and maintain an inventory of bearing grade steel M50, 440C and 52100. This material buffer will make these grades of bearing steel readily available to support manufacturers of DoD/DLA repair parts. DLA is seeking offers from mills/producers that are currently certified for the production of bearing grade steel grade to develop, implement, and manage a strategic material buffer solution for improving availability of bearing grade steel that would directly support manufactures of DOD/DLA repair parts.
