DLA is conducting market research to assess the defense industrial base’s capabilities and readiness for end-of-life battery recovery, reclamation, and critical mineral recycling. As DoD executive agent for hazardous waste disposal and combat logistics, DLA needs to evaluate how new EPA universal waste regulations and Executive Orders 14057 and 14110 affect storage, transportation, processing, and domestic reclamation of military-grade and commercial batteries. Interested respondents should provide direct, concise answers to the attached RFI questions, either by emailing the POC or uploading to SAM.
