This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is issued as a small business set-aside under the NAICS 541380. This procurement is for the inspection, testing, and calibration of fire hoses and appliances by a “Qualified Technician” for the hoses/appliances identified in section 7 of the attached performance work statement (PWS) for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Fire and Emergency Services. The period of performance is for one base year and four option years. Vendors must review all attached documents prior to quoting to ensure understanding of the requirement. Vendors must propose the contract line item number (CLIN) structure; a CLIN structure will not be provided. Quotes must include pricing for all option years. Quotes will only be accepted electronically through email to the contract specialist identified below. Award will be made on the basis of lowest priced, technically acceptable (LPTA) quote. Multiple awards will not be made. In order to be considered technically acceptable, vendors must provide a copy of the proposed inspector’s current, valid certificate. Companies must be located in the state of Virginia as travel expenses are not authorized under this procurement. Companies doing business with the Federal Government are required to use the System for Award Management (SAM). In order to be eligible to receive an award for this requirement, vendors must have an active SAM registration. All questions and requests for information regarding this Request for Quote (RFQ) must be received NO LATER THAN 5:00pm EST two working days prior to the quote due date.
