The contractor shall successfully deliver one on-site, 40-hour Live Fire Instructor certification course. Class will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1041, Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Instructors, current edition. This requirement supports Security and Emergency Services, Fire and Emergency Services efforts for members to remain proficient in all aspects fire prevention, fire suppression, and technical rescue operations. Fire and Emergency Services primary mission is to save lives. Having personal trained to the next level of job performance as required by DLAI 6055.06 instruction for fire and emergency services training is critical for long term and short-term staffing of the fire department and supporting the mission. At the completion of the courses, students will have the knowledge and ability to perform critical skill sets to meet the intent of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1041, Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Instructors, Live Fire Instructor, and Instructor in Charge Levels. Training will be held at DLA Distribution Center at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The training shall be provided to a maximum of 45 employees of DLA Installation Operations Susquehanna.
