The due date for offers is extended to January 4, 2024, 3:00 pm EST The purpose of this amendment is to notify potential offerors that the solicitation Price Schedule will be updated in a subsequent amendment to address concerns with the units of issue for the Contract Line Item Numbers. This contract is referred to as the “Okinawa Off-Island Hazardous Waste (HW) Disposal Contract”. Work will consist of the transportation, removal, recycling, and disposal of industrial waste as identified in the U.S. Government (USG) Japan Environmental Governing Standards (JEGS) and wastes regulated by Government of Japan (GOJ) as Industrial Waste (IW), Specially Controlled Industrial Waste (SCIW), Specially Handled Industrial Waste (SHIW), and Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) located on or around military installations and United States Forces Japan activities within a 50-mile radius of any pickup point listed on this contract. Pickup point locations for waste removals and other required services are identified in Attachment 3 of the contract. Infectious Medical Waste, Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), Ammunition and explosives, radioactive wastes including Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM), or mixtures of such wastes with hazardous waste (HW), will not be included under this contract. a.
