Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract DLA Distribution intends to award a contract to deliver and install miscellaneous office furniture (see Schedule of Supplies for details) to DLA Distribution Portsmouth, Virginia on a sole source basis to GovSolutions, Inc. In accordance with FAR 19.1506 “A contracting officer shall consider a contract award to an EDWOSB concern on a sole source basis (see 6.302-5(b)(7)) before considering small business set-asides (see 19.203 and subpart 19.5)" The acquisition is assigned a NAICS code 337211 in which SBA has determined that WOSB concerns are underrepresented in Federal procurement. There is no reasonable expectation that offers would be received from two or more EDWOSB concerns. Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 337211with a small business size standard of 1,000. PSC Code is 7110. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. A solicitation will not be issued for this procurement action or posted to the single Government Point of Entry, the SAM.gov website.
