Amendment 0001 is hereby posted to answer the questions pertaining to this requirement. This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (CSS) is being issued to establish a firm-fixed-priced (FFP) to provide bi-annual advanced cleaning, inspection and repair service for 168 sets of firefighter protective gear. The process should adhere strictly to the process in place as described in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1851 – Standard on Selection, care, and maintenance of Protective Ensembles for Structural and Proximity Firefighting – edition 2020. The company must be able to come on the installation via a mobile facility twice a year to perform the service. The Government intends to award one (1) purchase order as a result of this CSS which will be issued on a Standard Form (SF) 1449. This is a non-personal services requirement. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to the Government. The Government and the Contractor understand that the services to be provided under this contract by the Contractor are non-personal services and that no employer-employee relationship exists between the Government and the Contractor. The Government may provide technical direction, which will assist the Contractor in accomplishing the SOW; however, the Government will not control the methods used by the Contractor to perform the service requirements set forth in the SOW. Attachment 1- SOW Advanced Cleaning (Turn-Out Gear) This solicitation is being issued as unrestricted. The Product Service Code (PSC) for this acquisition is S209 (Green Laundry Service) and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 812320 (Drycleaning and Laundry Services (except Coin Operated) with a size standard of $8M.
