This notification is being published to incorporate a copy of the redacted Justification and Approval, resulting from executed modification P00019 to the referenced contract. SP3300-19-R-5004 (Contract SP3300-20-C-5001) Posted Date: December 20, 2018 NAICS Code: 493110 Set-Aside: 100% - 8(a) Small Business Concerns PSC: S215 Description DLA Distribution, New Cumberland, PA intends to extend services in accordance with (IAW) FAR clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, through a modification to the existing DLA Distribution contract number SP3300-20-C-5001. This contract was established for a contractor to provide all management, supervision, and labor, to perform receipt, stow, issue, and local delivery of material in the Work in Process Control Area (WIPCA) and computer operations at DDCT, in support of the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) Maintenance Activity. A follow-on contract is being recompeted at this time. In order to ensure continuity of services while the follow-on contract is awarded, a short-term extension of the current contract may be required. The extension will be in accordance with FAR 52.217-8, “Option to Extend Services” clause that is included in the contract. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, DLA anticipates awarding a modification to existing DLA Distribution Contract SP3300-20-C-2001 on a sole source basis to Bowhead Operations and Maintenance Solutions, LLC (Bowhead). The period of performance of the extension will be two (2) months beginning on January 1, 2025 through February 28, 2025. Due to unanticipated acquisition process delays, it has become necessary to modify existing contract SP3300-20-C-5001 to allow for uninterrupted WIPCA Support Services through February 28, 2025. Pursuant to the exception under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), only Bowhead is capable of providing the services at this time; award to any other source will result in unacceptable delays and cause a disruption to DDCT and to CCAD's activities. The modification to current contract SP3300-20-C-5001 will serve as a temporary solution to fulfill immediate mission requirements. The J&A for this extension of services will be posted as part of this notice once executed. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation for proposals or an invitation for bids. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.
