Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution is issuing this Sources Sought Announcement in order to determine if a competitive environment exists for this requirement and/or determine Small Business capability to support. DLA is a United States Department of Defense agency that provides worldwide logistics support for the Military Departments and the Unified Combatant Commands under conditions of peace and war. The primary mission of DLA Distribution is to receive, store, and issue material to military forces worldwide. DLA Distribution is planning to establish a contract for vendor services to implement its high-performance "DLA Distribution Management System", which is based on the Toyota Production System (TPS) principles and practices, to deliver products with more value, in less time, at less cost (better, faster, cheaper) across the DLA Distribution network.
