The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), as ISEA for the Ship Service Gas Turbine Generator, is supporting establishment of intermediate-level procedures to replace 250-KS4/RIMSS gas turbine assemblies at Regional Maintenance Center turbine shops. This would provide the Navy with a new 250-KS4 repair capability, significantly reduce repair turnaround times, and enable refurbishment of previously unusable carcasses. Procurement of specialized support equipment is a critical prerequisite for implementing these repair procedures. The effort is associated with NSWCPD in Philadelphia and RMC turbine shops.
