The purpose of this notice is to make publicly available the justification and approval for the award of the subject sole source, firm fixed priced purchase order under authority of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B). This purchase includes non-preemptible, contiguous commercial satellite communications (SATCOM) service provided through a commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) SATCOM provider. The satellite service will provide tactical communications to strategic forces. This requires the purchase of terminals (equipment) and communication services for these terminals.
