Special Ammunition and Weapons Systems (SAWS) - Multiple Award IDIQ Contract Solicitation
The Army Contracting Command – Rock Island Arsenal and U.S. Army PdL SAWS seek prime contractors to procure and deliver Special Ammunition and Weapon Systems, non-NATO standard ammunition, and select non-standard weapon systems for the Department of War, other U.S. government agencies, foreign governments, and international organizations. The program aims to establish reliable, agile supply chains for specialized foreign-produced munitions and weapons while requiring rigorous quality control, inspections, and ballistic testing. The government anticipates awarding up to five firm-fixed-price IDIQ contracts using a Highest Technically Rated Offeror source selection, with an initial $1,000 delivery order satisfying the guaranteed minimum and a maximum order quantity of 3,552,685,000 items. The contract will have five one-year ordering periods, ending 1,829 days after award. Delivery orders will be competitive and awarded using LPTA or best-value tradeoff, with price plus factors such as technical, supplier source, delivery schedule, past performance, and/or transportation plan.
