The information received will be used within Department of Public Works, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, to facilitate the decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the organization. This announcement is not a request for proposals, but a survey of the market for potential sources. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Department of Public Works, Fort Leavenworth, KS is seeking current relevant experience, personnel, and capability to work that includes but is not limited to General construction: The scope of this project will include the renovation of a ~2,253 S.F. space within the Harney Gym Sports Complex. Spaces to be demolished/modified consist of an existing restroom, laundry room, telecom room, janitors’ closet, and storage closet. The new floor plan includes a 12-person conference/break room, 2 family restrooms (1 ABA compliant), lounge area, vending machine area, laundry room, telecom room, and corridors. The renovation will include repair/replacement of electrical, lighting, telecom, mechanical, plumbing (including under-slab), ceilings, and all related finishes; alteration of both fire notification and detection systems; demolition of some load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls, concrete flooring, ceilings; and construction of structural lintels, non-load-bearing walls, doors, frames, and interior glazing “lites” in an existing 12” thick concrete wall. The work to be done consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials as well as performing all work in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This acquisition will require a general contractor with experience and expertise capable of managing numerous task orders at the same time, which will require construction scheduling, cost estimating, quality control, and coordination of subcontractors in a wide variety of construction trades. The contract to be awarded under this contract will be for construction in Fort Leavenworth, within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) with a corresponding Size Standard of $45 million.
