This pre solicitation notice is to document that ROLLS-ROYCE NORTH AMERICA is the only contractor authorized to work on the LCS MT-30 Gas Turbine Engines. Solicitation will be available on about 30 NOV 22. An “intent to sole source” notice was issued 10 June 22 with no responses. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. Per the requirements of the requiring activity, there is only one contractor that has the specific qualifications that meet the peculiar requirements of this contract. The qualifications for this position are unique. This acquisition is being solicited on an unrestricted basis. The NAICS code is 336611. Even though the intent is for a sole source contract, all responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement through email submission to Anderson, Leigh CIV SERMC (heidi.anderson@navy.mil) and Oconnor, Chris CIV Southeast RMC Mayport FL, 400 (chris.oconnor1@navy.mil) no later than 02:00 PM Eastern time 17 OCT 2022. If no responses are received by the above referenced date/time a sole source contract will be awarded to ROLLS-ROYCE NORTH AMERICA.
