This requirment is for fitness monitoring services and wearable devices for 240 4-25 IBCT (ABN) Soldiers. Services will collect and wearable devices will display data related to physiological/biometric performance for each of the 240 soldiers in a usable manner. Soldiers are prone to stresses, pressures and fatigue like other humans but there are environmental elements that differ. Enabling human’s access to physiological/biometric data has been proven to predict illness (including COVID-19), reduce fatigue and injuries and help fine tune heart health. The Arctic environment offers new layers of challenges into the lives of soldiers. Add this isolation to winters that reach -40° (and below), hazardous conditions, and darkness that is present 18 hours of the day, it is easy to see why wellness, both mental and physical, is important to the United States Army. The purpose of these services will help 4-25 IBCT (ABN) better understand how exposure to useable physiological/biometric data can be used to improve mental and physical capacity, therefore, increasing performance outcomes in an arctic environment.
