*****This post is to extend the due date for responses to RFI to 24 June 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST***** ***This post is to add the amended request for information*** ***Due date 23 June 9:00 CST*** The Go... *****This post is to extend the due date for responses to RFI to 24 June 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST***** ***This post is to add the amended request for information*** ***Due date 23 June 9:00 CST*** The Government is seeking qualified businesses to provide a self-contained case capable of securing one or more Personal Electronic Devices (PED) of various sizes, in the event of a “Thermal Runaway.” For this purpose, a PED is considered a laptop computer, a tablet, or a cell phone. The containment case must be able to secure the overheating device as well as the smoke and fumes in the event of thermal runaway. The containment case must be integrated onto E-3 aircraft to avoid flying object concerns; the location on the aircraft is yet to be determined. The government is willing to entertain all possible solutions available including Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and / or custom designed capable of holding multiple devices for storage as well as for emergency situations.
