REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Solutions to Enhance US Rocket-Based Combined Cycle (RBCC) Propulsion Technologies
This is a Request for Information (RFI) for market research purposes only, not a solicitation for proposals. The Air Force Research Laboratory seeks industry input on developing and demonstrating Rocket-Based Combined Cycle (RBCC) propulsion, specifically incorporating a liquid storable Rotating Detonation Rocket Engine (RDRE) for high-speed systems. Key areas of interest include minimizing system weight, maximizing scalability and mission utility, and using non-cryogenic, storable propellants like High Test Peroxide (HTP) or other liquid oxidizers. Responses are due within 30 days of the notice's publication date, and work is centered at Edwards AFB, California. No budget amounts are specified in this RFI.
