The Chief of Safety at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID), has a requirement to ensure each personnel involved are in protective clothing by reducing biosecurity threats. The Positive Pressure Protection Suits at the Biosafety Level (BSL) - 4 are white and to be ventilated suits with internal air controls and HEPA filtration, and shall provide full protection of high risk of biological or particulate contamination. Ongoing research requires the suits to be re-usable and be able to hang after each decontamination process is completed. All measurements will be provided by USAMRIID Safety Officer. The standard (regular) sizing suits will be in accordance to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer to ensure proper fit for small, medium, large, X- large, and XX - large. Having standardized suits is essential to the Department’s ability to develop diagnostics and treatments through controlled experimentation. USAMRIID is seeking to purchase one hundred ten (110) for the base year, Option Year 1 is seventy (70), Option Year 2 is seventy (70), Option Year 3 is seventy (70), and Option Year 4 is seventy (70). Potential contractor shall provide both custom and standard (regular) size. Please see attachments for details.
