All footwear provided must meet one of the following consensus standards called out by OSHA Standard 1910.136 - Foot protection. ASTM-2413-18, “Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protection (Safety) Toe Cap Footwear” ASTM F-2412-2005, "Standard Test Methods for Foot Protection," and ASTM F-2413-2005, "Standard Specification for Performance Requirements for Protective Footwear," or ANSI Z41-1999, "American National Standard for Personal Protection -- Protective Footwear," or ANSI Z41-1991, "American National Standard for Personal Protection -- Protective Footwear,” Vendor will provide four onsite visits to the West Bethesda site and two onsite visits to the Combatant Craft site. Onsite visits are intended to provide the workforce easy access to a wide variety of shoe styles and sizes, allowing NSWCCD personnel easy and efficient ability to try on and obtain safety shoes on the spot. Specific dates for onsite visits will be coordinated between NSWCCD designated representative and vendor at least one month in advance to allow time to schedule and advertise the visit. Dates will be evenly spaced across the year (ie: quarterly for West Bethesda and semi-annually for CCD). In addition to onsite visits, vendor will also provide a method to supply shoes either via store visit or online ordering/delivery on an ad-hoc basis for individuals with emergent needs. Turn-around time for such purchases must be within two weeks of need. Total shoe requirement estimated to be a collective requirement of 150 pair of shoes/ across the year.
