The U.S. Navy is seeking information from companies capable of repairing, overhauling, and testing J85-GE-5 and J85-GE-100 turbojet engines, as well as converting J85-GE-5 engines into the J85-GE-100 configuration to support the BQM-34S target program. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only for planning purposes and is not a solicitation for proposals. An established engine repair and overhaul capability is required by 2026 to support target operations. The program is subject to Buy American Act provisions. Interested parties must submit a white paper addressing specific capability questions.
