Responses due October 19, 2024 by 5:00PM EST. Requested Information The Distinctive Material Solutions Team (DEVCOM-SC) is conducting a market survey to identify sources who could supply an automatic switching winder, capable of switching at 1100 meters per minute. Please see Technical Specifications below. Specifically, DMST is requesting information on commercially available equipment that will meet the following requirements: Technical Specifications: Winding speed = Up to 3000 m/min Yarn Count range = 2800 – 3500 den Traverse Length = 12 to 17 inches Tube inside diameter = Max is 5 inches Package diameter = Max is 16 inches Package weight = Max is 30 lbs. Yarn tension = 35 to 40 psi Frame = 1 Tier, Double Winder not to exceed max height of 36 inches, max width of 30 inches. Sources may submit product brochures, pictures, and other product literature. No telephonic responses to this RFI will be considered. Additional Information All information received in response to this RFI that is marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Responses to this RFI are not offers for contract and will not be used by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Vendors having products that they believe would be suitable for this RFI as described herein shall submit all supporting documentation requested by this RFI to the POC noted above.
