F100 ANG Engine Exchange
AFLCMC’s F100 Program intends to issue a sole-source “C”-type F100 Engine Exchange contract to Pratt & Whitney, a Division of RTX Corporation, for a no-cost exchange in which the Government delivers 51 F100-PW-220 engines and receives 13 F100-229 new engine augmentor modules. A Sources Sought Synopsis posted from 4 August 2026 through 3 September 2026 found no source other than P&W could perform at the prime level without unacceptable delays and substantial nonrecoverable duplication costs. A Justification and Approval for other than full and open competition was approved on 23 October 2026 under the only-one-responsible-source authority. Due to security access requirements, foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level, and the contracting activity is AFLCMC/LPK at Tinker AFB, OK.
