The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Rock Island District intends to issue a solicitation for Herbicide Application services in support of the Mississippi River Project Office Recreation Areas and Locks and Dams 11 through 22. This is a pre-solicitation and is NOT a request for quotations. Interested vendors who plan to quote on this should be within 450 miles of the following address: 1500 Rock Island Drive Rock Island Illinois 61201 Description: This requirement is for pre-emergent control and eradication of target vegetative growth, through the provision and application of chemical herbicides on specified areas at nine recreation areas and twelve lock and dams. Work shall consist of furnishing all necessary equipment, labor, materials, herbicides, travel time, mobilizations, and state licenses necessary to accomplish the specified vegetative control. All Recreation service areas and all Lock and Dams service areas shall be sprayed at a minimum one (1) time per year and supplementally sprayed a second time as deemed necessary by the Government following the Government’s inspection of all service areas. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract under this solicitation. The resultant contract would be for a base and four option years. Area Locations: The work areas are located along the Mississippi River within the states of Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin are listed below.
