OPTIFLOW Junior High Flow system used in the NICU to increases the breathing support and oxygen in the breathing air for the patients in respiratory compromise. The system provides the ability to deliver high flow to neonates with easy application and use of the required humidified nasal cannula setup. The OPTIFLOW junior system has a unique cannula design in micro preemie to infant sizes that reduces the amount of condensation at the nares which can interfere with the airflow the infant is actually receiving. The varied sizes, design, and material of the cannula and tubing provides superior flexibility in the positioning of neonates assisting in developmentally and therapeutically appropriate positioning and reduction of pressure injury risk. The OPTIFLOW junior system allow for seamless transition to/from bubble CPAP as therapy needs change. This equipment and the supporting supplies will allow us to perform services to patients at WRNMMC located at 8901 Wisconsin Ave Bethesda MD. This action will continue to be needed until such time as a new better product is produced.
