Sources Sought Notice Type: Sources Sought Set Aside: TBD Classification Code: 84 NAICS Code: 315990 Apparel Accessories & Other Apparel Manufacturing Location: DLA Troop Support – Clothing & Textiles Title: Chemical & Oil Resistant Gloves PR: 1000105941 Description: The proposed acquisition covers a requirement for the New Chemical & Oil Resistant Gloves, Product Group Code: 00185 and NSN: 8415-01-685-8362 (s). The gloves must be of the following type: Part Number DFK-608 manufactured by Ansell Healthcare Products, Cage Code 18957. The requirements will be solicited under an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity, Firm-Fixed Price Type Contract for a period of 12 months and will not exceed 18 months. Total order quantities for the contract will be an annual estimated quantity of 30,817 boxes and a minimum quantity of 9,064 boxes. The acquisition will have a stated not to exceed contract maximum quantity of 38,520 boxes. The solicitation will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12. Low Price Technically Acceptable will be the Source Selection Method for the acquisition. Delivery is FOB Destination to Travis Association for the Blind located in Austin, TX and Peckham Inc in Lansing, MI. Inspection & Acceptance points are at Destination. Production lead-time is 90 days for each delivery order. Please note that ALL material used in the fabrication of this item shall be furnished by the successful offeror. This solicitation contains DOMESTIC RESTRICTIONS, which means all components and all manufacturing must be obtained/performed within the United States. The Defense appropriations and authorizations acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as “The Berry Amendment”) impose restrictions on the DoD’s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and “specialty metals” (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
